In my newest original creation, “The Maze,” I explore the intricate dance of destiny and choice through a vibrant explosion of color and texture. The composition is dominated by a powerful, swirling labyrinth rendered in passionate shades of crimson, burnt orange, and shimmering gold. Unlike a maze meant to confuse, this spiral is designed to lead the viewer on a meditative journey toward the center – a glowing, beating heart that represents the core of our being, the seat of love, and the ultimate destination of all our striving.

Surrounding this fiery path are delicate, cool tones of turquoise and deep blue, representing the universe that holds us. I have incorporated symbolic travellers into the landscape – hummingbirds and bees – flitting through the curves. They are the seekers of nectar, representing our own search for the “sweetness” of life amidst the chaos.

Technically, this piece features my signature heavy texture. I have used a unique stippling technique, layering thousands of raised dots that act as stepping stones along the path. These jewelled points catch the light from every angle, giving the painting a physical presence that changes throughout the day.
